Lizzy Ann Art

Where colour and nature collide, igniting all of our senses

About Lizzy Ann

Hi! I’m Lizzy — the artist behind Lizzy Ann Art, based in Gundagai, NSW, on beautiful Wiradjuri Country. My creative journey is shaped by the rolling hills, eucalypts, and riverbanks that surround me, and the deep sense of calm and colour they offer. Through my work, I aim to reflect that same feeling — a quiet joy, a visual exhale.

With a lengthy background in design, some photography, and a transformative chapter studying and working as an Art Therapist, my art practice grew from a desire to connect more deeply with nature and creativity. Moving from the fast pace of Sydney to the gentle rhythm of Gundagai allowed me to rediscover that spark — and begin painting more freely and intuitively.

My inspiration is drawn not only from the natural beauty around home, but also from my overnight hiking trips where I’m immersed in the wild — walking through ever-changing landscapes, sleeping under star-filled skies, watching the sun rise and fall, and being in love with the native wildflowers in bloom that scatter bursts of colour across the terrain.

Those moments of simplicity, stillness, and awe — along with the quiet rhythms of everyday life in Gundagai — fuel much of what I create.

My Art & Process

I enjoy working primarily with acrylic paint on wooden canvas board. My pieces often begin as a moment captured in nature — the shape of a distant hill, a palette drawn from the ever-changing sunset light, or a scribbly gum’s winding lines — and evolve through layers of colour and texture in the studio. I love combining fine details with impressionistic marks, aiming to create artworks that feel grounding, joyful, and full of life.

Today, I create a range of original paintings and fine art prints, all printed and framed locally in Australia. You’ll also find a growing collection of photography prints, captured during my explorations around regional NSW, and along my travels across the globe.

Whether you’re here to find a piece that speaks to your space, give a meaningful gift, or simply follow along for the ride — I’m so grateful you’re here, because it just wouldn’t be the same without your support along this creative journey.

You can also find my work in the Plane Tree Gallery in Tumut, on Creative Riverina, or follow along on Instagram and Pinterest.
