About Lizzy
Hi! Iām Lizzy, the artist behind Lizzy Ann Art, based in Gundagai, Australia. My work is inspired by the rolling hills, eucalypts and riverbanks around me, and the sense of calm, colour and quiet joy found in nature.
With a background in design, photography and Art Therapy, my creative practice grew from a desire to connect more deeply with nature and creativity. Moving from the fast pace of Sydney to Gundagai gave me the space to rediscover that spark and paint more freely and intuitively.
Much of my inspiration comes from life in regional NSW and overnight hiking adventures with changing landscapes, star-filled skies, sunsets and native wildflowers. These moments of stillness and awe find their way into the colours, textures and forms of my work.
My Creative Process
I work primarily with acrylic paint on wooden canvas board, building layers of colour and texture inspired by moments captured in nature. I combine fine details with impressionistic marks to create pieces that feel grounding, joyful and full of life.
I create original paintings and fine art prints, printed and framed locally in Australia, alongside a growing collection of photography from regional NSW and my travels around the world.
